Reserves 1 - 4 Piddletrenthide Reserves

Sep

The seconds are still looking for their first win of the season but found no joy against their visitors who did all the damage in the first half.

The match saw its first goal after five minutes with the visitors taking the lead, they increased that lead shortly after to make it 2-0.

The Reserves put in a much-improved performance from their opening match and earned a point in this six-goal encounter.

The visitors took the lead with an own goal in the 12th minute, Jamie-Lee Waller equalised in the 28th minute and the home side took the lead before the break with an excellent free kick from Mike Kerr.

The second half saw the visitors, whose team featured seven sixteen year olds, level and then take the lead, one being a penalty.

Reserves open with away defeat

Sep
14

The Reserves kicked off their first league match by being beaten comfortably by a good side.

The first fifteen minutes started evenly with the only effort on goal coming from the visitors left back Sammy Cooper who had a 40 yard shot clear the bar.

The home side took the lead on fifteen minutes and doubled their score in the 18th minute, a further goal followed in the 28th minute and it would have been more if not good goal keeping from Rob Pierce and defending from Ryan Downing.

Club withdraw Reserve team from league

Nov
15

It is with much sadness that as Chairman I have to announce that the club has been forced to withdraw the Reserve team from Division Three after an unbroken run of thirty-two years.

This decision was not taken lightly by the Committee, but after finding that a good number of players who are signed up by the club were unable to commit to playing each week for various reasons, the task of putting out two sides each week became impossible.

Reserves forced to postpone game

Oct

The Reserve team was forced to call off their match away to The Belvedere Inn on 27th October due to the players the club had missing from both teams. Our apologies of course go to our opponents. The reserves have no fixture this week.
