The reserves got off to a great start in Division Three, winning their opening match for the first time in many years.
The Butterboys started well and created several chances, Chris Wareham coming the closest with a cracking shot which just curled past the post. At the other end the home side were denied the lead when new keeper Lee Gray pulled off two superb saves from consecutive corners. The home side took the lead following a good cross from the right, which was met with a diving header from Tom Haines, a goal worthy of a much higher standard of football.
